Advanced Pavement System Design

Course Description

Essential knowledge necessary to understand Mechanistic Empirical (ME) pavement system design approaches is covered. Pavement distress/performance simulation models and errors associated with simplifying assumptions and subsequent impacts on the design process are explored. Current literature is an integral part of the course as students complete the listed topics.
