Student Learning Outcomes

  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify and classify complex inflectional forms of Classical Greek.
  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe and explain complex morphological and grammatical structures in Classical Greek sentences and passages of the appropriate difficulty, including original sentences and adapted passages from Classical Greek authors.
  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to translate and interpret complex Classical Greek sentences and passages of the appropriate difficulty, including original sentences and adapted passages from Classical Greek authors.
  • Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to compare complex grammatical structures between English and Classical Greek and, on the basis of this comparison, compose complex sentences in Classical Greek from English sentences.
