Course Description
Recent policy reforms governing the way teachers are trained, licensed, compensated, supported, and dismissed are at the center of some of the most controversial and argued debates in education policy and public administration. This course will provide an in-depth survey of current research on several key areas in teacher policy.

Course Objectives
Students will be able to: 1: Provide an in-depth survey of current research on several key areas in teacher policy such as teacher labor markets; teacher effectiveness evaluation, including test score value-added modeling; and compensation policy and incentive pay. 2: Understand and have an overview of current research on topics related to K-12 Teacher Policies.
