Course Description
An in-depth experience of working in music and media or media composition in a professional setting. This includes a media composer’s or other music and media professional’s studio or a music editor’s professional studio.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will provide additional written documentation and evaluations of their internship experience.

Course Objectives
At the completion of this course, the student will have learned to work in a specified music and media professional setting. This includes a composer’s studio, a music supervisor’s office, or a music editor's studio. The student will have hands-on experience working with the professional on the tasks at hand and working on music for media projects.
Topical Outline
For a professional media composer’s studio or music editor’s studio, the student will assist the composer in music-making and mixing needs as they apply for the project; template setup; recording music stems; assisting in recording other instruments; assisting in mixing; delivery of materials; and general studio requirements under the supervision of the media composer. For a music supervisor’s studio/office, the student will assist the music supervisor on their needs for securing clearances for songs and music for the various projects. This includes office work, paperwork, emailing clients, and other general office needs under the supervision of the music supervisor.
