Course Description

This course focuses on the skills needed to develop the capacity to foster a psychologically safe workplace. Self-assessment, case analyses, experiential exercises, and discussions are used to develop the skills needed to lead diverse teams in the global work environment.

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will analyze and propose solutions to systemic barriers to inclusion through case studies grounded in real-world organizational contexts.
  • Students will demonstrate inclusive leadership practices in team-based service learning and group projects.
  • Students will foster psychologically safe environments by practicing empathy, perspective-taking, and open communication in class and group dynamics.
  • Students will synthesize theory and practice by reflecting on inclusive leadership concepts and applying them to team experiences, service engagement, and group presentations.
