Student Learning Outcomes
Students will understand public relations management theory and practices and will understand how to advance the overall goals of the client or employer by managing relationships through ethical communication.
Students will understand management theories and systems, which are the basis for public relations at the management level.
Students will understand how to prepare a long-term, strategic public relations plan, develop solutions to public relations problems based on management and communication theories and the organizational mission and goals, and include such basic managerial elements as goals and objectives, budgets, and timetables.
Students will understand the importance and the process of crisis management.
Students will understand ethical behavior, necessitated by PR's responsibility to deal fairly with its publics, and of the basic tools that can be used to make an ethical decision.
