English Education Practicum Seminar III


Course Description

The third in a three-course sequence, this course examines the intersections between coursework and practice as students work across scaffolded professional experiences in both middle and high school English classrooms in a variety of contexts.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will conduct a month-long teacher research study during their student teaching placement.

  • Students will be able to plan structured, differentiated, original lessons with reference to appropriate English/Language Arts learning standards.
  • Students will be able to plan sequenced unit plans with reference to the appropriate learning standards.

  • Students will be able to build a repertoire of rigorous, meaningful teaching strategies and material for engaging with a diverse range of literacies, texts, and learners.
