French business and its environment. Topics will include the creation of a business, banking, economic geography, interviewing, letter writing, advertising, communications, import-export, politics, and the European Union. Given in French. Business students should check with their advisor for prerequisites.

Course Objectives
-Familiarize the student with terminology and concepts necessary to understand business and economic publications in French. -Provide the background necessary for students who will interact in French business situations. -Provide the necessary materials for students who wish to take the Business French examination given annually by the Paris Chamber of Commerce (there is a testing center in Atlanta). These objectives are accomplished by the following types of coursework, among others: -Three written exams, some of which include oral comprehension exercises. -In-class role-playing exercise on negotiation and applying for and interviewing for a job. -A 3-4 page business plan completed in French.
