Course Description
Franchising an existing business format concept can create opportunities for rapid growth but comes with challenges. We will examine the components of a successful franchise venture along with likely challenges.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be expected to compare and contrast three franchise opportunities in terms of franchisee time commitment, initial capital required, risk of business failure, and profit share with the franchisor. Students will prepare a 5-minute presentation and select one of the studied franchise opportunities to promote as their choice of business opportunity as compared to the other options. Presentations should be persuasive with solid analytical research.
