Course Objectives
To introduce the student to the need for an environment of project management. To review traditional approaches to planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling single and multiple project environments. To identify problems with traditional approaches to project management. To present the Theory of Constraints approaches to planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling of projects. To explore the use of project management concepts in a multi-project environment. Through class exercises and cases, and individual and group projects and simulations, to develop a holistic approach to planning, scheduling, and controlling projects in today's business environment.
