Course Description

Management of reproduction in the horse for efficient production. Application of reproductive management systems.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to serve as coordinators for laboratory projects in horse reproduction.

Course Objectives

To learn the factors that regulate the reproductive systems of mares and stallions and be able to apply management and techniques of reproduction in the horse for efficient production. Special emphasis is placed on analyzing reproductive problems and developing plausible solutions through application of critical thinking and problem solving skills.
