Provides an in-depth overview of human performance technology and instructional design practices through a systems thinking lens. Emphasis is placed on how to employ a systems thinking view to dissect and analyze performance projects in learning, design, and technology.

Components of a system in LDT (inputs, outputs, feedback loops, environment, systems and subsystems, people, and processes)
Systems thinking archetypes as they relate to LDT
Human performance technology analyses in LDT (needs analysis, organizational analysis, performance analysis, environmental analysis)
Interventions (instructional and non-instructional interventions, intervention identification, strategies for intervention maintenance)
Evaluation (formative, summative, and confirmative)
