Students will practice concepts and skills related to dance composition as well as skills in working in a dance-making process, culminating in a public performance.
Topical Outline
Audition performers and work with peer choreographers to cast works
Write a descriptive proposal of project
Conduct/lead weekly rehearsals with dancers
Manage communication and scheduling with dancers and technical director, in technical and dress rehearsals and performances
Participate collaboratively and cooperatively with choreographer and other performers in dance-making process
Attend technical and dress rehearsals and performances
Assist in cleanup of dressing room or other (strike)
