Immersive Realities


Course Description

Exploration of the creation of digital 3D models and immersive environments, including virtual, augmented, and mixed realities. Students will use industry-standard tools to craft digital assets and experiences, progressing from 3D modeling basics to advanced applications in gaming, virtual environments, and AR/MR.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students are required to demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities through a combination of the following as determined by the instructor: - Leadership roles on team projects - Additional project research - Additional assignments or increased project scope - Independent execution of projects typically completed by teams - Self-directed advanced study - Portfolio expansion in special topics

  • Students will develop virtual environments using industry-leading platforms.
  • Students will explore virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) design and development to create immersive experiences.
  • Students will create a comprehensive final project that showcases 3D, VR, AR, and/or MR technologies in an interactive, immersive environment.
  • Students will continue to develop a professional portfolio showcasing accomplishments and skillsets.
