1. To provide an overview of the psychological processes through which people cope with the demands of everyday life. 2. To cover adjustment issues throughout the lifespan. 3. To introduce the student to the application of psychological theories to problems of daily living. 4. To review psychological research findings related to healthy and maladaptive adjustment.
