Course Description

Piano course for music majors who have completed Piano Class III. Emphasis is on functional piano skills for music education majors aiming to work in a classroom/choral setting. Emphasis is on further development of keyboard reading, technique, accompaniment, improvisation, transposition, and harmonization. Repertoire includes solo, collaborative, and choral repertoire in a variety of classical and contemporary styles.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will have heightened requirements for class leadership and demonstrations and will complete additional assignments and projects.
