Course Description
Course will provide students with knowledge of how to perform and interpret clinical techniques used for evaluation and management of common conditions requiring emergency and/or critical care in large animal veterinary medicine. Case vignettes will be used to illustrate clinical reasoning and application of information covered across several species.

- By the end of the course, students will be able to explain the relevance and alterations to normal anatomy and physiology associated with common emergent diseases in horses and ruminants.
- By the end of the course, students will be able to identify and interpret clinical signs and physical examination findings in horses and ruminants with common emergency diseases.
- By the end of the course, students will be able to determine the need for common treatments in horses and ruminants with common emergencies.
