Course Objectives
Each week we endeavor to invite top local, national or international investigators from disciplines under the wide umbrella of infectious diseases to share their research, opinions and personal experiences with you because: 1) regardless of your future areas of endeavor, knowing how to listen and critically evaluate others' ideas is one of the most important talents you can develop while in graduate school, and 2) you will leave the University of Georgia with a graduate degree in "Infectious Diseases". With this title, it will be expected that you also have a modicum of knowledge in areas of infectious diseases not directly related to your research track.
Topical Outline
The topics will focus on the most current aspects of infectious diseases, immunology and viral, bacterial and parasitic pathogenesis.
