Course Description
Accompanying the corresponding methods and seminar courses, this course examines the intersections between coursework and practice as students engage in secondary English classrooms in a variety of contexts.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students: Graduate students will engage in an inquiry-based action research project.

Students will compare and contrast pedagogical, structural, and contextual differences across multiple school contexts.
Students will co-plan activities and learning experiences with a mentor teacher. Evaluate the impact of subsequent instruction on pupil learning.
Students will analyze and discuss classroom/school experience in dialogue with theoretical and research-based texts from the field.
