Course Description
The course is designed to provide an understanding of public health and quality of life of older adults in Croatia. This includes site visits and lectures, interviews with public health staff and older Croatians.

Student learning Outcomes
- Students will be able to describe the health, economic, and social conditions of older Croatians.
- Students will be able to evaluate the impact of demographic trends on the health and well-being of older Croatians, in comparison to the U.S. and other EU counterparts.
- Students will be able to compare and contrast the social determinants of health among different segments of the population in Croatia.
- Students will be able to describe the influence of cultural factors on health across the lifespan.

- Health: compare and contrast health of older Croatians compared to US and other EU counterparts
- Economics: compare and contrast the economic situation of older Croatians compared to US and other EU counterparts
- Social: compare and contrast the social situation of older Croatians compared to US and other EU counterparts
- Aging Network: identify community resources available to support older adults aging well in Croatia, and identify gaps/needs
- Policies: understand basic public health policies in Croatia
- Culture: examine the influence of cultural factors on health across the lifespan in older Croatians and other EU counterparts
