General Chemistry is a two-part course which gives students a solid introduction to the discipline. General Chemistry I covers the nature of matter, stoichiometry, basic chemical reactions, thermochemistry, atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, the scientific method, and the application of skills to solving problems involving multi-step mathematical sequences.
