Course Description
Introduces students to the multidisciplinary approach to aerospace systems design and optimization process. Basic concepts of aerodynamics, aircraft structures, flight dynamics, and stability are introduced in a multidisciplinary fashion using engineering systems thinking to gain knowledge in aerospace systems. Multidisciplinary optimization techniques and trade-off studies are presented.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to include a separate additional study package. This is to be in the form of a separate research study paper, with the topic being mutually agreed upon between the student and the instructor. This topic could be related to the final group project they are working on or a separate topic of interest to the student.
