Non-Traditional Format
Directed study. The credit hours received are based on the amount of hours committed to spend in the lab. For 1 hour credit, student will work 3 hours weekly. For 2 hours, they work 6 hours weekly. For 3 hours, they work 9 hours weekly.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students should have learned: 1. About pertinent theories and empirical research in their area(s) of interest 2. About the process of formulating conceptual hypotheses that guide research 3. About designing a methodologically sound research project 4. About skills necessary to conduct empirical research 5. About procedures for coding and analyzing data This course, which may be repeated for a total of 9 hours, consists of supervised research or other projects taken under the direction of a sponsoring faculty member.
