Course Objectives
This course consists of aquainting the student with the policy process, especially in the context of U.S. politics. From enrollment in the course, the student will become familiar with the general context of policy development in the U.S., agenda setting (how a policy arrives on the public agenda), how it is managed by the executive and legislative branches in government, and how policy is implemented and evaluated. Finally, the student becomes familiar with policy change and the possible termination of policy.
