Course Description

Woven structures on multi-harness looms.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to create 1 – 2 additional projects that relate to their graduate studies and concepts. Graduates will also be required to research a textile artist who specializes in weaving and to give a presentation of their research.

Course Objectives

To gain a broader understanding of the nature of yarns (fiber, construction, color, texture) in relation to woven structure. To explore complex woven structure through a variety of sample warps and larger projects.
