The objectives of this course are for students to develop a better understanding of how companies operate based on a branded image, how to create interesting and innovative designs with a specific end use in mind, and how to form these designs using certain technical parameters and production methods. Discussion about various design principles regarding repeating pattern, use of material, and color will be represented through slide lectures and class discussions. Students will explore, independently, various textile techniques learned throughout their school career to arrive at final design ideas.
