Course Description

This course introduces digital tools for textile repeat design. Students create original motifs using traditional methods and industry-standard software to produce seamless patterns, focusing on repeat structures, composition, and technical execution while translating research into professional-quality digital surface designs.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students complete an expanded body of work using computer aided design that aligns with their research interests and conduct independent research on a textile print designer, culminating in a formal presentation.
