Course Description

Selected problems in the Humanities which have special or current relevance to members of the University community. Topics will vary to meet interest and demand.

Discussions include student presentations of material researched for the course. May be held daily during May session, or as part of a Study Abroad program.

  • By the end of this course, students will understand moral dilemmas with topics ranging from the classic trolley problem to capital punishment.

Topical Outline

  • Students will critically engage with these dilemmas through class discussion, debates, and response papers.
