Course Description
Examination of instructional technology in the college classroom, on campus, and online. The purpose of the course is to encourage critical reflection on the use of instructional technologies across fields and to provide opportunities to develop skills in employing technology in the classroom.

Course Objectives
In this course, each participant will: • Increase his or her awareness of the myriad instructional technologies available; • Examine the roles of instructional technology in higher education and lifelong learning; • Critique the literature on the pedagogical implications of using instructional technology, including on campus and at a distance; • Develop his or her skills in learning and utilizing current instructional technologies; • Design discipline-specific activities using current instructional technologies; • Explore emerging technologies and assess possible uses in higher education; • Reflect on the roles of instructional technology with respect to his or her personal teaching philosophy.
