Student learning Outcomes

  • At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to define basic concepts of aural/audiologic rehabilitation and describe relevant historical and cultural contexts.
  • At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to discuss impact of hearing loss on speech/language development, academic or vocational pursuits, and psychosocial health.
  • At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to describe types of assistive technology including hearing aids and cochlear implants as well as fundamentals for evidence-based intervention.
