Analysis, synthesis, and integration of clinical, professional, and interpersonal qualities relevant for entry-level clinical practice in speech-language pathology.

Student learning Outcomes
Students will discuss knowledge of contemporary professional issues affecting the profession of speech-language pathology.
Students will compare and contrast knowledge of state and federal regulations related to the practice of speech-language pathology and credentials for professional practice.
Students will collect case history information and integrate information from clients/patients, family, caregivers, teachers, and relevant others, including other professionals (CFCC V-B, 1b) for both case discussions and simulated cases.
Students will demonstrate knowledge of one's own role and those of other professions to appropriately assess and address the needs of the individuals and populations served (CAA 3.1.1B- Professional Duty).
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the roles and importance of interdisciplinary/interprofessional
assessment and intervention and coordinates care effectively with other disciplines and community resources (CAA 3.1.1B - Professional Duty).
Students will work effectively as a member of an interprofessional team (CAA 3.1.1B).
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the role of clinical teaching and clinical modeling as well as supervision of students and other support personnel (CAA 3.1.1B -Professional Duty).
Students will demonstrate knowledge of basic human communication and swallowing processes.
Demonstrates the ability to integrate information pertaining to normal and abnormal human development across the life span (CFCC IV-B; CAA 3.1.6B).
Students will access and critically evaluate information sources, applies information to appropriate populations, and integrates evidence in provision of Speech-Language Pathology services (CAA 3.1.1B).
Students will demonstrate knowledge of processes used in research and integrates research principles into evidence-based clinical practice (CFCC IV-F; CAA 3.1.1B Evidenced-Based Practice).
Students will demonstrate current knowledge of the principles and methods of prevention and assessment, including consideration of anatomical/physiological, psychological, developmental, and linguistic and cultural correlates (CFCC IV-D) for both case discussions and simulated cases.
Students will demonstrate skills in oral and other forms of communication sufficient for entry into professional practice (CFCC V-A).
