Course Objectives

A. Students will be able to use EXCEL or a similar spreadsheet package to help calculate experimental results, graph the results and perform the needed statistical analysis of the same. B. Understand how to collect, analyze, and assimilate experimental laboratory data using traditional volumetric and gravimetric techniques. C. Understand how to collect, analyze, and assimilate experimental laboratory data using electronic analytical devices such as pH meters, spectrometers, gas chromatographs, liquid chromatographs and potentiostats. D. Use e-mail and web resources to evaluate collected data. E. Write formal lab procedures for all experiments. F. Write formal lab reports for all experiments.
