Insurer Operations and Policy


Course Description

Analysis of insurer operations and the issues facing managers of such operations. Topics covered include regulation, accounting, finance, marketing, underwriting, reinsurance, ratemaking, and claims. Students participate in simulated operation of a homeowner's insurer in a competitive market, gaining hands-on experience with insurance company management in a dynamic setting.
