Course Description
Exploration of the dimensions of creative and innovative tactical leadership strategies and styles by studying historical case studies and engaging in interactive student exercises. Cadets practice aspects of personal motivation and team building in the context of planning, executing, and assessing team exercises.

Course Objectives
Comprehend the complexity of leadership and team dynamics. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of one’s own leadership style using the Army Leadership Framework. Identify the four stages of team development. Describe techniques to build an effective team. Comprehend basic Army operations. Identify key elements of Army heritage (rank structure, duties, and traditions). Describe the impact of Army values on past and present operating environments. Use navigation techniques to move from one point to another. Explain the characteristics of squad tactics. Describe troop leading procedures. Identify core battle drills. Develop a greater awareness of the importance of physical well- being. Explain the effects of stress and healthy life style on leadership effectiveness as defined in the Army Leadership Framework.
