Student Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will have learned critical language to interrogate contemporary entertainment media, especially issues of visual media texts and storytelling.
By the end of this course, students will have learned about issues of textual form, economic contexts, historical antecedents, and cultural/ideological discourses for understanding contemporary entertainment media.
By the end of this course, students will have a theoretical language drawn from the field of media studies and media literacy, which will inform subsequent coursework in the Entertainment and Media Studies Department.
