Continuation of the basic curriculum of Intermediate French, with an emphasis on strengthening the speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills of the intermediate student. Pronunciation, conversation, grammar review, reading of texts and compositions. Not open to native speakers.

Students will write descriptions, personal anecdotes, causes and effects, comparisons, and opinions while incorporating more sentence connectors to build longer discourse.
Students will recognize and reflect upon concepts of francophone cultures and peoples and other topics and events of general interest from francophone perspectives. Some of these topics may include memories, migrations, traditions, stories and fairy tales, regional languages, linguistic development and fine arts. Students are expected to be able to discuss these topics within a comparative and contrastive framework with their own cultural background.
