Student learning Outcomes

  • Students will develop an understanding of diverse children’s experiences with learning in a Pre-K-5th classroom context.
  • Students will learn classroom observation and interview skills for exploring classrooms as learning communities.
  • Students will participate as an active member of a Pre-K-5th classroom community, assisting the teacher and supporting children’s learning.
  • Students will develop communication, planning, and teaching skills through collaborating with a peer to co-design and co-teach a mini-inquiry project with a group of children.
  • Students will observe across grade levels in Pre-K-5th grade classrooms.
