Course Objectives
1. Identify and describe the components of classroom management observed in the career and technical education classroom. 2. Examine discipline procedures and their effectiveness in the career and technical education classroom and the school. 3. Identify instructional strategies used in typical career and technical education classroom lessons. 4. Identify and describe the tasks involved in career and technical education work- based education. 5. Synthesize the types of assessment/grading used in a career and technical education classroom. 6. Evaluate the use of technology as a teaching tool in career and technical education. 7. Evaluate the incorporation of diversity into the career and technical education classroom and school setting. 8. Teach or team-teach a career and technical education lesson. 9. Compile teaching materials used by career and technical education teacher(s) you are observing. 10. Continue the development of your career and technical education teaching portfolio. 11. Reflect on your own strengths and abilities as a career and technical education teacher.
