Student Learning Outcomes
This class is required of all Microbiology doctoral students. The purpose of the class is to learn to present and discuss current research experiments conducted by graduate students in the Microbiology graduate program. Presentations will require critical reading of the current literature and discussion of experimental results and conclusions. Experimental techniques and methods for solving problems will be addressed.
Topical Outline
Students enrolled in the class will interact to present and discuss experimental research seminars. A supervising faculty member will work with the class to select the order in which each student will give a seminar throughout the semester. Seminar preparation will include topic outline, preparing visual projections, and selection of background reading material.
