Description:		Discussion of texts by German/Austrian writers and artists who responded to and participated in political movements of the nineteenth century. Texts address the Napoleonic Wars, democratic visions, the mid-century revolts, women's rights, Jewish emancipation, and the rise of nationalism. Taught in German.
