Course Title:	Small Animal Infectious Disease
Course Description:	This course will emphasize diagnosis and treatment of various infectious diseases of dogs and cats. Didactic information will be presented on a variety of the most commonly associated viral, bacterial, fungal, and protozoal diseases. In addition, sessions involving case presentation by students will occur.

Nontraditional Format:	This course is taught in a five week elective period with 15 contacts (lectures) and 8 discussion groups for a total of 23 contacts which equals 1.5 credit hours.
Prerequisite:	Completion of first year veterinary curriculum or equivalent experience
