Course Title:	Oral Literature in Africa
Course Description:	Study of orality as a major form of literary and knowledge production in Africa. Also focuses on the institutional carriers of orality (storytellers). Readings in English translation. Special emphasis will be placed on the relevance of the material under discussion to the contemporary world.
