Course Title:Small Animal Community Practice
Course
Description:		Instruction in routine preventative care for dogs and cats, the problem-oriented approach to medical problems commonly seen in dogs and cats, and how to anesthetize and perform surgical procedures on healthy animals (neutering, variohysterectomy, small cutaneous mass removal, and routine dentistry).
Athena Title:SA Community Practice
Nontraditional Format:Senior clinical rotation where 2 hours in clinic equals 1 contact (40 hours per week divided by 2 equals 20 contacts per week or 1.3 credit hours per week).
Prerequisite:Must be a fourth year veterinary student
