Course Description:	Theoretical and empirical work on youth subcultures in terms of deviance, gender, identity, media, societal reaction, and style. Various subcultures considered: Cybercultures, Deadheads, Gay/Lesbian, Goth, Hackers, Motorcyclists, Punk/Hardcore, Riot Girls, Skinheads, and Straightedgers.
