Course Title:Instrumentation and Arranging
Course
Description:
Instrumentation and Arranging is the first course in orchestration. Instrument ranges and colors will be learned and discussed. After learning ranges, colors, and uses, students learn to arrange for the orchestra. Common doublings up to three- and four-part arrangements are learned and discussed. Other compositional techniques will be discussed.
