Course Title:Advertising and Public Relations Field Study
Course
Description:
Emphasis is on immersion, interaction, and engagement with industry professionals. The experience is designed to synthesize and integrate many of the theoretical and practical approaches to the study and application of advertising, public relations, and related communication fields. Weight is placed on critical thinking, analytical processes, and acquisition of specialized knowledge pertaining to the seminar topic.
Athena Title:Advertising/PR Field Study
Nontraditional Format:This is a domestic field study course, with lectures and meetings with professionals scheduled during the entire session. It will meet 6-7 hours/day (including travel time) from Monday-Friday. Generally there is one hour of lecture/day and 5-6 hours of meetings, events, and activities. A minimum of 750 minutes per credit hour.
