Course Title:	Geotechnical Structures – Foundations and Retaining Walls
Course Description:	Loads, soil strength, bearing capacity, settlement, design of shallow foundations and design of deep foundations; spread footings, slab-on-grade, mat foundation and piles; earth retaining structures – lateral pressures, stability and design; methods of construction; introduction to ground modification.
