Course Title:	Service Learning Policy Challenge
Course Description:	This course utilizes community settings as the primary pedagogical tool for engaging students in exploring policy options for local organizations to improve public health. Students work in teams to identify a local problem and design a policy solution through projects structured to translate knowledge into action in real-world settings.
Athena Title:	Service Lrng Policy Challenge
Nontraditional Format:	Course includes a service-learning project during the semester that either employs skills or knowledge learned in the course or teaches new skills or knowledge related to course objectives. Students will be involved in the planning and implementation of the projects(s) and may spend time outside of the classroom. Students will be engaged in the service-learning component for approximately 50-75% of overall instructional time.
Prerequisite:	HPAM 3600 or HPAM 3600E or permission of department
Semester Course Offered:	Offered fall and spring semester every year.
Grading System:	A-F (Traditional)
