Course Title:Contemporary Applications of Historic Painting Materials
Course
Description:		Introduction to historical methods: egg tempera, fresco, encaustic, casein and Venetian oil painting in combination with modern materials: acrylic polymers and alkyd resins. Consideration is given to the properties of pigments, binders, grounds, and supports and how they inform contemporary studio practice.
