Using a strengths-based approach, this course focuses on the diversity of disability in the U.S. and social work’s role in supporting people with disabilities and their families across the lifespan. Content includes disability models, U.S. disability history/policy, current challenges, available services, and social work’s role in supporting disability sub-populations.
